Kurgan is a Highlander character played by Clancy Brown. Kurgan is last opponent of Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) in the Gathering. Connor was nearly beheaded by this sword during fight of MacLeod clan against Fraser clan. Connor was saved by his uncles. Kurgan name has Mongolian / Tatar origin and means fortress or a safe hidden place.
