Each year, TOPS Knives hosts the Employee Design Challenge, giving team members a chance to create unique and functional blades. Past winners include the Dicer 8, Grandpa’s Ax, and dive knives—now joined by the Ivie.

Designed by Cody Ivie, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enthusiast and knife lover, the Ivie is a compact yet rugged EDC fixed blade. Its stout 1095 carbon steel modified Wharncliffe blade, paired with a two-finger black canvas Micarta handle, offers a secure grip without unnecessary bulk. Small but mighty, it’s perfect for discreet carry as a neck knife, in-pocket, or on your belt—wherever you need a tough, everyday companion.
