El Cid Rapier

Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, known as El Cid, is Spain´s most prominent national hero, a symbol of the entity of the nation and an example of a warrior´s courage. He fought alongside the Christians, repeatedly fell from grace with the Castilian king, temporarily served the Moors and lastly, he created his own empire around Valencia. He led an eventful life as one expects from a knight of the High Middle Ages.
