Medium Aevum - Bastard Sword

Swords of this type were common in the Late Middle Ages. They were the first real Bastard swords, designed mainly for the military intervention.

With its tapering, nearly straight blades and a diamond-shaped cross-section without fuller they were destined to thrust. Some swords of this type also had a more distinctive mid rib and were aptly called armor-piercing swords.

The sword has a full-length, high-quality blade made of spring steel that is flexible yet strong and a high-quality, polished steel guard and pommel. The tang is riveted to the handle end. The blade has a hardness of 55 HRC, is sharp and suitable for the cutting test.
