Spangenhelmet for Archers, Size L

A common helmet used throughout he Viking era, Spangenhelmets are characterized by their construction, whereby steel strips called spangen, are used to join together steel plates thus creating the helmet. Our models represent types that were used from the 5th to 12th century. Crafted from two welded halves of 1.6mm (16 guage) steel. The skull is reinforced with a 1.6mm (16 guage) crossband riveted onto it. This style lacks the sal which is a common feature to most spangenhelmets. This allows the wearer unobstructed vision in order to accurately loose their arrows. With adjustable leather liner and chinstrap.
