Even when the attian nations were well into the Iron Age, the Greeks continued making bronze helmets for centuries.

The various helmet types were later named after the region were they were first put to use.

The Corinthian helmet has to be the most well-known type of Greek helmets. It was introduced around the early 7th century B.C. Its most significant feature is the fact that it was made from a single sheet of bronze and closely followed the outlines of the human skull. The cheek plates and nose guard provided ample protection for the face, but slightly affected the field of vision and breathing. The helmet was the standard headgear of the hoplites.

Our Corinthian bronze helmet is not cast, but traditionally forged by hand from one single sheet. The face is reinforced.

The face section is reinforced. The helmet is made from approx. 1 mm thick bronze.
